GRANTS AWARDED IN 2009

 

Errington Volunteer Fire Department was able to get breathing apparatus needed to equip its fire-fighters.

Project Literacy provided new playspace for pre-schoolers and a travelling library of age appropriate books

Parksville Seniors Activity and Drop in Center got partial support towards the procurement of a wheelchair equipped van.

Haven Society got a teaching kitchen in its new facility.

Qualicum Beach Community Garden society was fenced.

Qualicum Beach Historical and Museum Society was able to fix a roof and protect important artifacts.

Lighthouse Country Marine Rescue Society got help to build a training facility that is available for other community users too.
