Grants Awarded in 2011

Twelve organizations have been selected to receive funding under the Parksville-Qualicum Foundation's 2011 Community Grants Program.  The grants, totalling $12,600, were awarded at the Foundation's annual general meeting held in Parksville Wednesday evening.

The 2011 grant recipients, recommended by the PQF's  arms-length advisory committee, provide a wide-range of community programs and services ranging from youth programs to seniors programs and from leading-age energy efficiency projects to historical projects.

"Our community and our neighbourhoods are richer because of the work that these and other volunteer- driven organizations do," said Foundation President David Roach.  "Being able to offer financial support is one way that the PQF helps build vibrant communities."
