Parksville Qualicum Community Foundation is awarded $5,000 Grant
Parksville, BC — The Parksville Qualicum Community Foundation has been providing grants in support of the local community organizations for the past twenty years. Now it has itself been the recipient of a grant by local digital marketing agency, Motiontide Media.
“Normally we are the ones issuing grants to help community organizations in the Parksville Qualicum Beach region. We are pleased that this time we are the ones being on the receiving end of this generous grant,” says Board President Sarah Duncan. “As we celebrate our 20th anniversary, we look forward to working with Motiontide to broaden our reach in the community, including enhancing our online presence.”
Duncan is excited about the opportunities the grant opens up. Not only are they working on revitalized branding and a new website, but they are developing initiatives that will help bring more awareness to the community groups and the great work they do. This will multiply the impact they are able to have, according to Duncan.
This multiplication effect also excites Joel Grenz, president of Motiontide Media. “We are always looking for ways to maximize the impact we can have for our clients. The same applies for our charitable work,” says Grenz. “We see what we are doing here as not just supporting a great organization in the Parksville Qualicum Community Foundation, but we will be able to help the many organizations they serve. This will in turn filter down to people and families throughout our area.”
Qualicum Beach Mayor Brian Wiese joined members of the Parksville Qualicum Community Foundation Board as they officially accepted the grant, “It is important to share the information about this wonderful Community Foundation. The directed donations they accept and the foundation earnings get invested right here in our communities and enhance our quality of life.”
