Rock For Relief Concert raises $39K+ for PQCF!

Rock For Relief: Online Benefit Concert Raises over $39,000 for Parksville-Qualicum

During the CHEK Rock for Relief benefit concert held online April 17, the Nanaimo Foundation collected donations for several Vancouver Island communities. Generous members from Parksville-Qualicum contributed a total of $39,363.21!

When CHEK made the decision to organize an online benefit concert to raise funds for COVID-19 relief, they wanted the concert to support the entire Island. The Nanaimo Foundation and the Victoria Foundation facilitated all Rock for Relief donations for the Island. Amounts have been allocated to north Island community foundations such as the Parksville-Qualicum Community Foundation.

This amount was raised as a part of the Nanaimo Foundation’s Community Response Fund efforts.

The Nanaimo Foundation has issued a cheque in the amount of $39,363.21 for the Parksville-Qualicum Community Foundation. This will be disbursed to charities within our catchment region that are addressing urgent community needs due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
