Empowering Communities Through Neighbourhood Small Grants

Have you ever wanted to make a positive impact in your community but lacked the resources to bring your ideas to life? The Neighbourhood Small Grants (NSG) program is here to change that, offering support to individuals who aspire to enhance the quality of life in their neighbourhoods. With grants ranging from $50 to $500, the NSG program empowers community members to turn their visions into reality.

The NSG program to is open for applications on March 1st, and closes on March 31st. BC residents can apply for projects within Oceanside communities, and the applicants’ neighbourhood.

NSG is not just about financial assistance; it’s about fostering community bonds, creating positive change, and leaving a lasting impact. If you have a vision for your neighbourhood, seize the opportunity to make it a reality with NSG!

Guiding Principles of Neighbourhood Small Grants:

  • Everyone Has Gifts: Any individual can contribute their ideas, talents, skills, experiences, and contacts to build a stronger community.
  • Small is Powerful: Even small amounts of money can lead to powerful changes, fostering new relationships, increased self-confidence, leadership development, and the creation of local traditions.
  • Local Decisions Are Best: Diverse community members have the opportunity to make decisions on grant recipients in their communities.
  • Where We Live Matters: Grants enable neighbors to collaborate on projects within their community, based on what works best for them.
  • We Learn Together: There’s no single right way to build community, and participants have numerous opportunities to learn, share, reflect, and exchange knowledge.
