Betty joined the Board in 2022. She is originally from Wales where she worked as a Registered Nurse and Midwife. She has held Board positions for the Museum, Haven Society, John Howard Society and Oceanside Hospice Society.
Better completed an undergraduate degree in Nursing and a Masters Degree in Educational Administration from VIU. She has three children and four grandchildren. Betty and her husband Bob have lived in Parksville for forty years. During this time Betty has volunteered for many community programs while working as a Healthcare Administrator.
