Peter joined the board in 2023 and serves as Chair. He also chairs the Fund Development and Marketing Committee and has previously served as Vice-Chair.
Peter grew up on a dairy farm in Abbotsford and graduated with a degree in agriculture from the University of Saskatchewan. He moved to Vancouver Island in 2005 and lives in Nanoose Bay with his wife and two kids. In 2021, he helped to establish the Springford Family Foundation in honour of his father-in-law, Colin Springford.
Professionally, Peter is a business advisor and facilitator with MNP, a national accounting and consulting firm, where he leads the firm’s business development strategy for Vancouver Island. He has more than 25 years of experience specializing in marketing, communications, business development, and leadership development.
A connector at heart, Peter is an active member of 100 Fine Gentlemen of Oceanside Who Give Damn and the Vancouver Island Economic Alliance and serves as an adult mentor for 100 Kids for Change Oceanside and the Oceanside Junior Railroaders Club.
