Our Commitment

Parksville-Qualicum Community Foundation (“PQCF”) is committed to ensuring that our services, programs, and digital presence are accessible to all individuals, including persons with disabilities. We strive to meet or exceed the accessibility standards set out in the *British Columbia Human Rights Code*, the *Accessible Canada Act* (where applicable), and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.

Website Accessibility

We design and maintain our website with accessibility in mind. Our ongoing efforts include: providing text alternatives for non-text content, ensuring sufficient colour contrast, enabling full keyboard navigation, using clear and consistent page structure and headings, ensuring compatibility with common assistive technologies such as screen readers, and providing accessible forms and interactive elements.

We regularly review our website against current WCAG standards and address identified barriers as promptly as practicable.

Programs, Events, and Services

We endeavour to make our events, meetings, grant programs, and community services accessible. Upon request and with reasonable notice, we will provide accommodations such as: materials in alternative formats, accessible meeting and event venues, assistive listening or communication supports, and other reasonable modifications to enable full participation.
