On behalf of Balfour’s Friends Foundation, I would like to thank the Parksville-Qualicum Community Foundation for the very generous funding you have provided for our Compassion for Companions program. For a small charity like ours that is run entirely by volunteers, your funding has an enormous impact.
Your grant will be used to help support some of the most vulnerable people in the Parksville-Qualicum region and it comes at a time when the need has never been greater for our clients. We have received an unprecedented number of requests for assistance so far in 2024; in fact, during the first half of the year we have helped more people (and their pets) in the Parksville-Qualicum region than we did in all of 2023.
