Thank you so much for the $500 Neighbourhood Small Grant for the Madrona West Neighbourhood Emergency Preparedness Program received in October (Nanoose Bay). With the funds received we were able to purchase some necessary supplies to get a start on our 'Neighbourhood Command Kit' which is necessary to be properly prepared in case of a local disaster.

With the NGG funds received we were able to acquire:

a pair of high quality 2-way radios for communication purposes
white board
flip chart paper
a variety of required stationary supplies
caution tape
1/2 dozen safety vests

We look forward to being further prepared and adding to our kit over the coming months and we are truly grateful for the kickstart as a result of the Parksville Qualicum Foundation's Neighbourhood Small Grant.
