During these difficult times, it has been heartwarming to witness the level of community support given to SOS. PQCF grants have assisted us in continuing to provide services to local residents through the COVID-19 pandemic.
Your kindness means so much to people who have nowhere else to turn for support during this challenging time. We thank you for putting your trust in SOS to provide vital programs and services that meet core needs and improve lives. PQCF grants have made a difference by: Helping SOS restart child, youth, and family programs Supporting local residents with emergency assistance for things like food and medicine Connecting residents with professional counsellors Helping seniors shop for their groceries Ensuring nutritious meals are delivered through our Meals on Wheels program Helping connect residents with much needed government benefits Supporting homeless individuals with support and housing emergency assistance Assisting low-income families and individuals in filing basic income tax returns Helping low-income families with registration costs for recreational activites
Although we have reopened our Thrift Shop, revenue is anticipated to be down drastically this year as a result of the temporary closure and ongoing COVID-19 restrictions. That is why we are completely reliant on community support from friends like you at this critical time. We anticipate the needs to increase the longer this crisis continues, and we are committed to continuing programs and services that residents have come to rely on. Thank you again for helping SOS care for those in need. Your compassion is helping to strengthen our Oceanside community, one resident at a time.
